I have owned this set a 52244 for 2 months and except for the poor speakers its the best tv for the money I have found.
I see that music man has it in for Mits so dont listen to his reviews as they are very wrong (he wrote 11 bad reviews for Mits and you know he does not own them and just is bad mouthing them)

Customer Review: Best Buy for LCD TV
The quality of this brand is outstanding. The colors are bright and vivid and the picture is clear. The viewing angles are amazing at 178 degrees, which puts you pretty much standing right along side the tv. Its a good idea to view all the sellers for this product, because I was able to find one who offered free shipping, and that made the purchase all the more attractive. The price is a little bit more then other brands, but I promise, you won’t be unhappy with this lcd once you get it. I liked my first Bravia so much, this makes my third purchase of this brand.
Customer Review: KDL-26M3000, my purchase experience
I purchased the KDL-26M3000 and it it arrived in a perfectly mint box but was extremely scratched up on the front frame and looked used. For reference, floor model, open box TVs are usually in MUCH better condition. It also came directly from Amazon and not a partner. It is very difficult to imagine this was not intentional but I moved on and attempted to return it. I had to call 6x and it took over two weeks for the shipper to pick it up. They took it back but obviously it was a huge hassle and I would not shop Amazon for anything of significance as a result. There are simply too many other vendors available. Best of luck.

Customer Review: Mitsu is good, but not as clear as Samsung
I purchased this TV less than a week ago, only after getting a great deal. So far, I’m pleased with the overall product. It is a very silm TV, as far as LCD’s go. The frame design is very thin and plain; for some, this may be a good thing, for others, not so much. The speakers are absolutely terrible! As far below mediocre as the sound is, Mitsubishi could have saved some weight on the total unit and left the speakers out altogether. I would highly recommend using this TV with some sort of external A/V system.

I have yet to purchase a Blu-Ray disc player, or even an up-converter for my current DVD player, however, I did see the HD performance at the store. It was comparable to all others; that is except for Samsung. Samsung seems to have all other brands beaten in terms of overall picture quality and clarity.
Customer Review: Exceptional LCD & Price
I just took delivery yesterday from Amazon. The pricing is the lowest on the net and comes with free “White Glove” service (The delivery is inside your house and set up). The set-up is very simple and we were up and running in 15 mins.

The picture is exceptional and the HD is terrific! I would rate this set as a 5 star, but as one other reviewer said, the sound system is horrible. The sound is “Tiney” if that is a word? Tried all the sound settings and nothing helps. Perhaps it is the small speakers with this set? I would recommend to anyone considering this set to also purchase a good sound system to go with it. I am!

Other than the sound being so terrible, the set is the best I have seen. I have checked the net and sen all the sets at COSTCO, SAMS and Best Buy, and this picture is the best and so very awesome. Perhaps the 120hz helps, but I would not hesitate to recommend this set, but to also recommend an external sound system. As two of us here have mentioned it, you should be aware of the failings of these poor quality speakers that come with this set. That said, at this price, you can get a great sound system and still come out ahead.

Customer Review: Great TV for a Great Price
I’ve picked up this item to replace a Insignia HDTV that had some issues. This one has been a dream. Very vibrant color display on everything. Works great with my Xbox 360, my PS3, my HD channels, and Blu Rays. Displays up to 1080i which looks beautiful through HDMI. Convenience of two HDMI ports, and more video ports on the back. I used the TV speakers from May to January(when I got my surround), and found no delays or issues. Even with surround no issues of a delay. I highly recommend this for the price.

I too noticed the lip sync issue, however the TV is fine if you use an HDMI cable only.

I use one from HD cable box and one from an upconverting DVD player. No lip sync problems whatsoever when I use HDMI only.

Customer Review: Warning! Stretched (distorted) image in analog channels
WARNING! If you want to be forced to watch stretched (distorted) image, (with a few exceptions of some HD digital channels), this ViewSonic model is the right TV set for you!
The two tuners on this HDTV receive both digital (w/ or w/o HD), and analog channels. When tuning to the analog and to some of the digital non-HD channels, the originally broadcasted 4×3 images are stretched to fully cover the wide screen size of 16×9 ratio of this HDTV set. This “linear image distortion” causes people to look fat and the overall image very unpleasant to watch.
After going through the manual, I could not find any setting selection to correct this problem. (Some LCD HDTVs have setting options like “STRETCH”, ZOOM, SIDE BARS, etc., but not this one).
I called ViewSonic customer service, and, after being on hold for 15 minutes, I was told that “this is normal” and “there are no settings to correct this problem”, and then the call was somehow disconnected (did they hang up on me? I don’t know!).
NOTE: Not all of the TVs are like this one. I have one LCD HDTV that automatically switches between the 3×4 and the 16×9 ratios, according to the broadcasted image and the settings performed through the TV setup menu. The only time this problem cannot be corrected is when some (abnormal) TV stations intentionally broadcast an originally distorted image in HD, which may occur in 1 or 2 stations within 100.
Be aware of this problem before you fall in a trap and buy LCD HDTVs like this ViewSonic N2635W!
